My latest vintage purchases

all my new treasures in one blogpost

I’m hella happy that’s a bargain, bitch ~Macklemore

Macklemore, oh guy, you understand me. How it feels like being in a vintage-shopping-frenzy. Damn these vintage shops and fleamarkets, in some months I won’t have any space in my wardrobe at all! But I just can’t stop. I always try to convince myself that I don’t need anything. And then I see that one dress and all the strong thoughts are gone. At normal shops, the price stops my desire. But who can say no to a cheap, amazing and individual dress? Yes, it may be an addiction, but it’s a wonderful addiction.

Last month, I strolled through fleamarkets and vintage-shops (too) many times and as I metioned, I just wasn’t able to buy nothing. But hey, now I can write an entire blogpost about my latest pic-ups. I hope you like it!

My latest vintage buys.

vanilla ice cream blazer

How to combine vintage style

what I love…

I’m such a big fan of that special kind of yellow. I also like oversized-clothes and I haven’t had a blazer yet. I love to wear this one with rolled up sleeves so there is no chance it gets a granny touch.

how I wear it…

some weeks before I purchased that blazer, I had bought some tennis socks at Urban Outfitters, which have stripes in exactly the same color! I combine them with a pair of jeans and a basic shirt, so that’s it.

granny silk scarf (pic above)

what I love…

I love its colors! Very intense and the print is soooo pretty! I was looking for a small silk scarf for such a long time, so this was a happy buy 🙂

how I wear it…

I keep the rest of the look simple, so the scarf is my highlight. I tie a bow or tie it like a real scout (Isabella from Phineas&Ferb taught me, hehe) …The colors also fit perfectly to my Stan Smiths

UMBRO sweatshirt jacket

what I love…

I know that UMBRO is the new shit at Urban Outfitters etc., so that was the first reason this piece got my attention. (fashion victiiiim, I know) In addition, I love the cuffs at the sleeves and the little stand-up collar in a very nice red color.

how I wear it…

when I wear sportswear as a streetstyle, I always wear it together with more elegant clothes like dresses or skirts. Turtlenecks would fit very well, too.

flower power skirt

what I love…

I’m obsessed with skirts (and dresses) in general and these flowers are just too cute! Furthermore, it fits perfectly (who buys vintage knows, a secondhand piece that fits well is such a rarity!!!) and I like the length.

how I wear it…

in combo with my Velcro Stan Smiths with lil green details and (for these colder seasons) with a white knit-pullover. I just love incongruous styles!

the 50s bridal dress

How to combine vintage style

what I love…

I just fell in love. No more words needed!

how I wear it…

at first, I’ll give the dress to a tailor, so she can shorten it. I’ll combine that dreamy dress with sneakers and maybe a jeansjacket, so it won’t look like a wedding dress at all anymore. So looking forward to wearing it!!!

TIM&STRUPPI shirt

How to combine vintage style

what I love…

that’s such a flashback to my childhood! I love the colors and the vintage style, as well as the big print at the back and the small pic of my bros at the front.

how I wear it…

I’d love to wear this shirt everyday!! It’s so good to combine… Now, in the colder part of the year, I wear the shirt layered over a turtleneck…one of my favs!

Baker Boy Hat

what I love…

Baker Boy Hats are everywhere on Instagram!! So I needed one, too…I also like the color and the tweed, it fits pretty good to my fall clothes!

how I wear it…

I wear it to every look which needs a pinch of style 🙂

the (also very granny) black bag

How to combine vintage style

what I love…

ohI love these handbags with short handles! The leather is so soft and generally, the bag looks quite high-quality…

how I wear it…

definitively with a casual look, like boyfriend jeans and sneakers…no more granny pieces. I am not a grandma…

So, I hope you liked my blogpost and you got some inspo! I will share my looks with these vintage treasures on Instagram, so follow me if you want to be up to date 🙂

Love, Lara <3
